Couple to marry at Toby Keith concert after 30 years together

MARION -- The Black Diamond Summer Concert Series continued Saturday night with Toby Keith taking the stage before an expected crowd of 20,000 people, and one couple in that crowd tied the knot onstage.

Larry and Sara Flanigan have been together since grade school, but 30 years, 6 kids and two grandchildren later, they decided to go the extra mile by doing something a little different: getting married at a concert.

Larry Flanigan said they were both almost just as excited for the concert as they were for the wedding.

He said he has been trying to get Sara to marry him for years, but it was Sara that popped the question only weeks ago.

The couple is expected to say their "I-do's" right before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, but before that, country music legend Toby Keith will perform.

The country artist is known for his hits like "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," "Should've Been a Cowboy," "Red Solo Cup" and many others.

Keith isn't the only one on the stage Saturday. Singer-songwriter David Lee Murphy is known for hits like "Dust on the Bottle" and writing the lyrics to Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor."

People were already lining up out side of the Black Diamond concert venue as early as 3:00 p.m., hoping to get some up close seats.
