CARBONDALE -- The countdown to the solar eclipse is now in the double digits, but one local town is still developing ways to make it easier for incoming visitors.

The total solar eclipse is expecting to draw thousands of people into Southern Illinois, so just how are all those people going to know where to go?

The City of Carbondale thinks they have an answer. They've developed an interactive map that shows visitors all types of helpful information.

If you go to the Carbondale eclipse website here and click on the "Get Around" tab, you'll find the map listing everything from restaurants to cooling stations and even bars.

For those who want enjoy a little alcohol, be aware it is only allowed in certain parts of town.

Those thousands of people visiting need somewhere to park, so the map lists the closest places and how much they might cost.
