Murphysboro High School holds production of The Little Mermaid

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON CO. -- The Murphysboro High School Drama Club is presenting a production of The Little Mermaid this weekend.

About 50 high school students are involved in the production and have been practicing since January.

Because of the roof collapse at the high school auditorium, the musical had to move to the middle school.

"We really tried to make the production just as big as the productions we do at the high school. We really didn't want to scale back because they deserve to have a full out show."

The show ran a matinee Friday for the elementary students.

There will be a shows Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with a show at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $8 apiece.
