WSIL-TV -- Who is this week's top player in high school basketball?  You decide!

Vote for the WSIL-Banterra Player of the Week.

Each Monday during the high school basketball season, the WSIL Sports Team will nominate area athletes for the Player of the Week honor.  Vote Monday through Wednesday each week and we'll announce the winner each Thursday.  Each week's winner receives a Player of the Week tee shirt.

This week's nominees are:

Atlexus Green, Carbondale:  The senior scored 54 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in helping the Terriers to three South 7 seven wins.  Green was 10-15 from three, including five against Marion.

John Russell, Cobden:  The senior scored 31 points, dished out 14 assists, and had 5 steals to help the Appleknockers to a second place finish at the Chester Invitational.  Russell was named to the all-tournament team.

Abby Vaughan, Carmi-White County:  The senior scored 59 points, grabbed 20 rebounds in helping the Lady Bulldogs to a 2-1 record last week.  Vaughan also had 6 assists and 6 steals.
