Food for Thought: Serving up pie for Thanksgiving

WSIL -- Thanksgiving is around the corner and one of the favorite parts of the meal is dessert.  Here's some food for thought on pies.  

Experts say on average a slice of pumpkin pie has 335 calories, 15 grams of fat, and 38 grams of sugar  That's before adding whipped cream.

When it comes to pecan pie, despite the nuts being good for you adding the corn syrup and sugar it becomes a wash. One slice has 450 calories, 21 grams of fat, and 70 grams of sugar.     

The Patti Labelle sweet potato pie is so popular right now that it's sold out.  But here's the info on a slice.  There's 440 calories, 20 grams of fat and 29 grams of sugar.
