TRAFFIC COORDINATOR - SALES

WSIL Television Southern Illinois, Inc. has an opening in our Sales Department for a Traffic Coordinator. This is an administrative position requiring excellent computer skills and strong attention to detail. The position primarily involves assigning client copy instructions electronically for advertising schedules, coordinating with the station’s Operations Department for production tasking, assisting national sales with political commercials, and to assist sales with other duties assigned.

Success in this position is measured by accuracy. Attention to detail, a track record of dependability, organizational skills and excellent communication skills are required for this position. Qualified candidates will demonstrate advanced computer skills with MS Excel/Word.

DIGITAL SALES MANAGER

WSIL Television Southern Illinois, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Sales Department for a Digital Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will be an aggressive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a winning attitude.  Prior digital sales and marketing experience is preferred.  You must have the ability to develop creative digital strategies and custom advertising solutions for new account development.

This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of WSIL digital sales efforts, primary focus on managing to the digital revenue budget.  Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. One must also be accomplished with the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Must also be willing to learn and master industry dedicated computer software applications.

You will be responsible for your own sales budget while working with a team of veteran sellers to develop the overall digital revenue budget for the station.

Education and experience to be commensurate with the position.

NEWS DIRECTOR

WSIL is seeking a veteran, dynamic leader for its news operation.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL SALES MANAGER

The General Sales Manager will be a hands-on customer focused teacher and leader who has multi-platform business development expertise.  The successful candidate is a manager with at least 5 years of TV experience and an excellent track record in sales leadership, customer service, team development, planning, inventory management, pricing and financial results!

Weekday Evening News Anchor

MULTI-MEDIA JOURNALIST- WSIL (2-positions) 

ABC affiliate WSIL in Carterville, Illinois (88th DMA), is seeking candidates for a Multimedia Journalist. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and enjoy enterprise reporting.  This position involves hard news reporting with a focus on covering political and investigative stories.

WSIL is located in southern Illinois (Marion – Carbondale). Our coverage area also includes southeast Missouri and western Kentucky.

As an MMJ you will shoot, write and edit content for daily broadcasts and digital platforms; including web and social media.  A degree in Journalism or Mass Communications is highly desired.
