Kevin joined the News 3 staff in January 2004, and became co-anchor of News 3 This Morning in August. Prior to his work at WSIL, he was the weekend producer and reporter at WLFI in West Lafayette, Indiana. Kevin also anchored, reported, and produced at WOWL in Florence, Alabama.
Kevin grew up in High Ridge, Missouri, a community south of St. Louis. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1995.
Some of the more memorable moments of his career on News 3 This Morning include the morning of the Leap Day Tornado. He, Emily Eddington, and Clint Misselhorn anchored seven hours that day. Other memories include getting tasered live on the air and slamming a local independent wrestler in the back with a chair. That action lead to Kevin's first and only professional wrestling match.
Kevin and his family live in Carterville. When he's not spending time with his wife and kids, Kevin likes to blog, podcast, and run. He completed his first half-marathon in February 2014. Kevin is active in the community, volunteering his time as the co-chairman of the Southern Illinois Men's Conference, Hospice of Southern Illinois, and The Boy Scouts of America.
