Amy Fox joined the WSIL news team in July 2014. She comes to southern Illinois from Minot, North Dakota where she spent two years working as an Reporter/Anchor at KMOT-TV.
After living 1,200 miles away from home, she's excited to be back in the Midwest, closer to friends and family.
Amy was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since a young age, she knew she wanted to be a reporter on TV. Growing up, she can remember waking up early to read the newspaper and watch Good Morning America with her dad.
Amy graduated cum laude from Franklin College, a small liberal arts college just 20 minutes south of Indianapolis. Throughout her four years, Amy had internships in Indianapolis at WTHR and FOX 59, as well as WANE-TV in Fort Wayne. Amy was also instrumental in the revival of the student produced campus news program "Inside Franklin," acting as the executive producer and anchor for the show.
Amy is excited to be in southern Illinois and looks forward to making it her home away from home. When she's not out in the field reporting or behind the desk anchoring, Amy enjoys volunteering for Make-A-Wish Illinois, teaching Sunday school, running, baking, and working on Pinterest projects.
