JOHNSTON CITY-- Taylor Odom hit a three run homer in the first inning and Sydnee Rushing struck out the side twice, on her way to a 15 strikeout performance.

The Lady Blackcats later took a 4-1 lead in the 5th, thanks to an RBI triple from Alison Webb. While Altamont narrowed it to 4-2 in the top of the 7th after a solo home run to lead things off, Rushing ended the game with a strikeout.

Goreville wins back-to-back supersectional titles and moves on to defend their state title from last year this Friday in Peoria.
