CARBONDALE -- First-year SIU head coach Barry Hinson gave his best player, junior Desmar Jackson, an ultimatum Wednesday -- change his habits or leave the team.

During his press conference after the Salukis' 82-76 loss at Wichita State, Hinson called out Jackson, saying the team's leading scorer was lazy, disrespectful and failed to practice hard. Hinson went on to say if Jackson's habits didn't change by Saturday's game against Indiana State, he would buy the Wyoming transfer a bus ticket home.

Jackson averages a team high 15.9 points per game. He also leads the Salukis in steals (29) and three-pointers (21).
