Landon Earns All-American, Riley 18th at NCAA
EUGENE, OR -- Chester's Kyle Landon capped a highly successful freshman campaign at SIU by earning All-America honors in the High Jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Landon equalled his career best by clearing 7-02.5'. After three misses at 7-04.5', Landon finished tied for third.
It's the best Saluki male outdoor finish since Darren Plab won the High Jump back in 1992. Landon is the first Saluki male outdoor All-American since Cameron Wright in 1995.
Herrin's Zack Riley cleared 6-10.75 for Kansas State, which ranked him 18th out of the 24 jumpers.
