CARBONDALE -- Creighton shot a Missouri Valley Conference record 77.5 percent from the field to beat Southern Illinois 88-69 Tuesday night at SIU Arena.

Creighton (22-5, 12-4 MVC) snapped a three-game losing skid with the win, shooting 31-of-40, including 12-of-14 3-pointers.

SIU (8-19, 5-11 MVC) has lost eight of its last 10 games. In its last two contests, the Salukis have allowed Indiana State and Creighton to shoot 24-26 from beyond the arc.

The Blue Jays scored five players in double-figures, led by Doug McDermott's 18 points on 8-of-8 shooting. Jahenns Manigat added 17 points to go along with Gregory Echenique's 15. Antoine Young and Ethan Wragge also added 15 points apiece.

Mamadou Seck led the Salukis with 16 points. T.J. Lindsay chipped in 13 while Dantiel Daniels scored 12.
