Miners Come Up Short

By WSIL Sports

MARION -- The Frontier League Greys came into Tuesday's game with the worst record in the league, but that didn't stop them from jumping on the Miners fast.  The Greys quickly took a 3-0 lead, and that proved to be all they would need.

Miners could not get the bats working Tuesday as they only managed three hits the entire game. Their only run came on a sacrifice fly from Jay Austin in the fifth inning.

With the loss the Miners fall to just two games above .500, making them 18-16 on the season.

The team is back in action Wednesday at Rent One Park at 7:05.
