SAUGET -- Pitching dominated the annual Frontier League All-Star Game Wednesday night.  The West won 2-0, despite getting only four hits on the night.

The West tallied two runs in the fifth--one came on a blooper to left, the other on a passed ball, and that was enough.

A pair of Miners had quality nights for the East squad.  Ryan Cavan got the start at shortstop.  He was flawless in the field but finished 0-2 at the plate.

Reliever Derrick Miramontes struck out the side in the seventh in his only inning of work.

The Miners return to action Friday night at Evansville.
