SIU Falls To Wichita State

 WICHITA -- SIU men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead against Wichita State on Tuesday night at Koch Arena. 

The Salukis led 33-32 at halftime. However, the Shockers gained control of the game in the second half to pick up the 78-67 win over the Salukis. 

The Salukis struggled at the free throw line as they made just 14-24 free throw attempts. The Shockers made 24-32 free throw attempts. 

SIU was led in scoring by Anthony Beane, who finished with 25 points. SIU's Desmar Jackson added 13 points and 7 rebounds. SIU's Jalen Pendleton added 13 points off the bench. 

Wichita State was led in scoring by Cleanthony Early, who had 18 points. 

SIU drops to 10-16 overall and 6-7 in MVC play. Wichita State stays perfect and improves to 26-0.
