MARION-- Daniel Calhoun pitched eight strong innings, gave up three hits, one unearned run and struck out seven, but the Miners bats came up silent in a 1-0 loss to Rockford.

Miners left nine men on base, and despite having the bases loaded in two separate innings, couldn't convert. The loss begins a stretch of nine straight games at Rent One Park.
