JOHNSTON CITY -- Johnston City Indians head coach Dan Mings is about to begin his third season at Johnston City. The Indians went 15-5 in Mings' first two years with the Indians. He calls this a "transition" season for talent.

Mings says while the core group may have graduated, he likes the numbers and the types of athletes that he has this year, even if this the first year some of them have played football.

This year's squad has great size, just not great experience.
Now he's trying to get those hosses up front to be more physical.

The Indians will open 2013 the same way they ended the 2012 regular season, taking on Vienna-Goreville, this time on the road. That game will be Saturday, August 31st.
