Kirchner Rolls Perfection
HERRIN -- Herrin high school senior C.J. Kirchner has big dreams. One day he wants to be on the Pro Bowling Tour.
Kirchner puts in the time--he rolls anywhere from three to 10 games a day.
That hard work paid off last weekend, when he rolled the first 300 game in the 54-year history of the youth league at Herrin Bowl.
Kirchner says he tried not to think about the possibility of a 300 game as the strikes piled up, but that became just about impossible especially by the tenth frame. He says he knew his final throw was perfect when he let it go, but that it was still a relief to see those final pins fall.
CJ will likely be headed to McKendree or Lindenwood-Belleville on a bowling scholarship.
