MT. VERNON -- Just a few miles north of Mt. Vernon, next to the Vosburgh home sits a small shed. The 'barn' as it's commonly known, has become a sanctuary of sorts for Mt. Vernon wrestlers Alex and Chase Vosburgh. It's allowed the brothers to work out whenever they want.

"It's nice to be able to wake up and go down to the barn," Alex said.

"It used to be just where we parked our four-wheelers until we closed it all off, put wall mats, mirrors and kind of started making it more of a gym," Chase added.

Alex is the second oldest of four Vosburgh boys. The senior is 37-3 and will make his second trip to state this weekend at 160 pounds. His younger brother Chase is a sophomore. He's also making a return trip to Champaign. At 38-1, Chase is one of the top wrestlers at 145 pounds after winning regional and sectional titles.

"I think we're both capable of winning it and we've both done the work since we were four or five years old so it's our time," Chase said.

The Vosburgh brothers wrestle year-round, spending the summer traveling the country competing against the nation's best athletes. Their dedication is something their coach, Sean Docherty appreciates.

"They're probably the two hardest working kids I've ever seen," Docherty said. "I mean I've had hard working kids in my wrestling room before but none like these two."

Alex and Chase are hoping all the hours spent working out in the barn will pay off this weekend.

"Fourteen years of work is what it's coming down to, it feels like," Alex said. "There's a lot of emotion coming into it. I'm excited, nervous, kind of sad it's almost over."

"Like my dad always says, it would be the coolest thing ever for us both to win it, so that's what we're shooting for," said Chase.
