Terriers Step Up Intensity
CARBONDALE -- The Carbondale Terriers were one of 12 southern Illinois teams to make the IHSA football playoffs last season. At 5-4, they were one of the last teams in the 5A bracket.
This year, fifth-year head coach Dan Koester says that's not good enough. Koester has stepped up the intensity in practices, keeping his kids moving and focused on the goal of locking up a guaranteed place in the playoffs.
Carbondale opens the season in the annual Jackson County grudge match with Murphysboro.
