CARBONDALE --  The Carbondale Terriers had not played a game in two weeks due to cancellations caused by the recent wintry weather.   The Terriers showed no signs of rust, beating Belleville Althoff 68-56 in the South 7 opener for both teams.

Carbondale led 31-22 at the half, but the Crusaders used a 14-4 run in the third to take their only lead of the game.

The Terriers promptly responded with a 9-0 spurt and never looked back.

Devontavious Payne led Carbondale with a game high 24.  Allen Billinger scored 13 of his 15 in the second half.  Shamarc Bursey added 12.

The Terriers improve to 4-0 (1-0).
