Marion single car accident injures one

One person was injured in a single car accident five miles south of Marion on South Market Road at 5:30 pm Sunday, July 14, 2013. The driver lost control of the white Toyota, ran off the road and hit the embankment causing the car to spin around, winding up with the back end up the embankment and the front in the ditch. Passersby stopped to aid the driver and called for help. Lake of Egypt ambulance and fire department were first on the scene, followed by two Marion ambulances and the Williamson County Sheriff's department. The driver was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
