Mom Pleads Guilty in Son's Death

WSIL -- An Edwards County mother has pleaded guilty for her role in the death of her son.

Crystal Nash, 25, pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of drug induced homicide and delivery of a controlled substance.

Crystal Nash and her husband, Joshua Nash, were arrested in October and charged with giving codeine to Crystal's five year old son, Jason Hoy.

Hoy died after being discovered unresponsive in his Grayville home in June.

As part of the plea deal, Crystal Nash was sentenced to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Joshua Nash is scheduled to appear in Edwards County court on December 18.
