H1N1 Related Death

ALEXANDER COUNTY -- A third southern Illinois resident has died from complications related to the H1N1 flu virus.

Southern Seven Health Department reports the person who died was an adult from Alexander County.

A health department spokesperson says the individual had underlying medical conditions but will not release any additional information.

This is the first H1N1 related death in Southern Seven's coverage area.

Deaths have previously been reported in Jackson and Williamson counties.
