Double Homicide Suspect Makes Court Appearance

FRANKLIN COUNTY- The woman charged in a West Frankfort double murder makes her first court appearance in Illinois.

Authorities say 19 year old Afton Ferris was booked into Franklin County Jail at 5:30 Friday morning.

Ferris was arrested in Larimer County, Colorado more than 3 weeks ago. She has been in jail there ever since.

Ferris faces first degree murder charges for the deaths of Terri Siebeck and Kandis Majors.

The two women were found October 19th inside their West Frankfort home. They had been shot several times.

Michael Schallert is also charged in the deaths he's still being held in Colorado.

As for Ferris she's expected back in court November 18th.
