Cape Air Off The Ground At Local Airport

Play Video
WILLIAMSON COUNTY- A new airline is off the ground at the Williamson County airport.

"Cape Air" made its first flight from Marion to St. Louis Sunday.

The airline offers six round trips every weekday and three round trips on weekends.

Frequent fliers say the new option takes a lot of stress out of traveling.

Dave Shoup of Carbondale says, "With the price of the ticket being what it is, at least here at the beginning, it's much easier and it costs me less to fly out of Marion, I don't have to worry about parking a car someplace and leaving it there or paying airport fees."

Airport officials say Cape Air will also have a code share agreement with American Airlines starting in April.

You can then make all your flight arrangements out of Marion thru American.
