Suspected Homicide In Union County

UNION COUNTY-- Union county authorities are now calling the death of a man near Dongola a suspected homicide. Investigators say 57 year old Gerald Dziczowski was found dead inside his home on Kimber road Thursday night.

An autopsy was performed Friday, but authorities are not releasing the cause of death right now as the investigation continues. Crime Scene Investigators with Illinois State Police collected bags of evidence from the scene.

"We are following up leads and interviewing people who may have information" says Scott Rice with the Illinois State Police.”

Local, county and state officials are all involved in the case.
