Williamson County Airport Flying High

WILLIAMSON COUNTY- The number of flights from Marion to St. Louis will soon triple.

The U-S Department of Transportation has hired "Cape Air" as the airport's new commercial carrier.

The airline will provide 36 flights a week from the Williamson County Airport to Lambert airport in St. Louis.

Tickets will cost 43 dollars each way.

Airport Manager Doug Kimmel says he's thrilled with the new carrier,"Six flights a day just provided a tremendous amount of flexibility for a passenger to leave here and get to St. Louis just in enough time to reach their final destination."

Cape Air will begin flights from Marion November 8th taking over for current carrier Great Lakes Aviation.
