Update: Stabbing Suspect in Custody
Murphysboro Police say Marvin Mims, 19, turned himself in Monday evening.
Mims was taken to the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance.
Murphysboro Police continue searching for two other men believed to be involved in the stabbing.
MURPHYSBORO - Police are investigating a stabbing Monday in Murphysboro. It happened in the 1300 block of Maple Street about 8:30 am.
Police say a 21-year man was stabbed multiple times in the leg, back and chest. He's been taken to a St. Louis hospital for treament.
Meanwhile police are looking for at least one suspect. An arrest warrant was issued for 19-year old Marvin T. Mims of Murphysboro.
Police say Mims and two other people were seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The name of the stabbing victim was not released.
