3 Year Old Dead After Dog Attack
JOHNSTON CITY-- At 8:03 Saturday night, the Williamson County sheriff's office received a 9-1-1 call stating that 3 year old Gabrial Mandrell wasn't breathing. Less than an hour later- he was pronounced dead.
Officers responded to a home on Willow Pond Road in Johnston City. Investigators believe Gabrial was asleep, then woke up and pushed out the screen in his bedroom window. The child crawled out the window, and was then apparently attacked by at least one of the family's 3 dogs.
Deputies say a collie mix and two pitbull mixes were taken from the home. The dogs were brought to the Williamson County Animal Control facility-
And their fate will be decided after the investigation...
An autopsy conducted this afternoon determined that Gabrial died as a result of blood loss from multiple dog bites. A pathologist ruled the death as an accident.
Visitation for Gabrial Mandrell will be held from 6 to 8 Wednesday night at the Murman-Wilson funeral home in Johnston City. A memorial service follows at 8, also at the funeral home.
