A Wish List Governor Blagojevich
WSIL-TV -- Barack Obama's economic recovery plan would create more than two-million jobs ahile also investing in the nation's infrastructure.
Already, Governor Rod Blagojevich has sent Obama's office a "wish list" detailing nearly 300 construction projects in Illinois that are ready to begin immediately.
The list includes improvements to I-57 in Williamson, Jefferson, and Franklin counties. The governor estimates the projects would provide about 1,700 jobs.
Also on the wish list is improving Amtrak service across Illinois, including new service to Rockford and the Quad Cities. It's estimated this project would create about 4,700 jobs.
