WSIL News 3 seeks an experienced Anchor/Reporter. Responsible for anchoring and producing Saturday and Sunday newscasts and contributing to station's website and social media outlets. General assignment reporter during the week. Must have producing background and strong leadership skills. Degree in broadcast journalism or related field and at least 2 years anchoring/reporting experience in a television newsroom required. This is not an entry level position. Part-Time Opening

WSIL-TV is seeking a weekend assignment editor for Fri-Mon. Position will set up stories, make beat calls, monitor police and fire department scanner traffic, generate story ideas, write broadcast news copy, edit video, update website, plus additional tasks as needed in the production of newscasts and other station operations.

Desired candidates would have college level courses and/or professional experience in journalism and/or broadcast TV production. Demonstrate ability to take on multiple tasks and work under deadline. Must have pleasant demeanor when communicating with viewers and news sources on the phone, e-mail and in person. Good writing and editing skills required. Must be detail oriented. Knowledge of counties and cities in Southern IL, Western KY and Southeast MO very helpful.
