The Curves Food Drive is a great way for us to help new members, as well as others. The normal fee for a new member will be waived for a donation of a bag of non-perishable food during the month of March. All the collected food will be donated to the Benton Ministerial Alliance. Our current Curves' members will win a Curves tote bag by donating 50lbs. or more of food. The public can also donate food by dropping it off. Third Annual Arthritis Foundation Poker Run

The day starts at the Sesser Masonic Lodge with a pancake & sausage breakfast from 8am to 11am. Registration for the Poker Run is at 10am. All types of vehicles welcome. The Pageant is a fast moving production which presents the life of Jesus Christ through music & drama. With a cast of over 115 members in full costume, we invite you to come join us & share in the true meaning of Easter. The Presentation will portray glimpses of Jesus' life as an infant, child, & an adult & will include the thoughts of Biblical people stepping out of scenes to explain how they may have been feeling at the time of the event. The 9th annual Illinois Heifer Development Program (IHDP) fall-calving bred heifer sale is fast approaching. Ten IHDP consignors from central & southern Illinois are offering high-quality, fall-calving replacement heifers. All heifers are guaranteed bred to calving ease bulls & have followed strict health & reproductive requirements. In addition, bred cows & cow-calf pairs will be offered by five IHDP consignors. All cows nominated for this sale are less than 6 years of age & have met strict health requirements. Producers interested in enrolling fall-calving heifers for next year’s program need to plan now to ensure cattle follow IHDP weaning vaccination guidelines. This training, taught by University of Illinois Extension educators, is designed for both new & tenured support group leaders & others who work with grandparents raising grandchildren.
