Former Hurst Police Chief Arrested
HURST -- The former Hurst police chief, who suddenly resigned back in July, has been arrested.
Police in Marion arrested Ronald Harvel on Friday for violating a September 18th order of protection against his wife, as well as unlawful use of weapon.
Harvel resigned from the Hurst police force, one hour before the city council was to discuss disciplinary actions against him. The cause of those actions was never revealed.
Harvel faces two misdemeanor counts. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
