The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. Michael K. Williams, 27, of Mayfield, was traveling east on US Highway 68 near Needmore Rd. when he failed to successfully negotiate a turn in the road.

Williams' car overturned after it veered off the roadway, and finally stopped after it struck an utility pole.

Four passengers were in the car at the time of the crash.
