VIENNA -- Vienna-Goreville's football team is led this season by first year head coach Brian Trambley, who is hoping to lead the Eagles to their third straight playoff appearance.

However, Trambley is inheriting a young team. The Eagles have just 13 seniors this season and just nine returning starters. Trambley wants his offensive to have balance between the passing and running games and on defense, he wants his players to be very aggressive when pursuing the ball.

"We are probably going to be a little more heavy on the run but we will try and throw the ball as well," said Vienna-Goreville head coach Brian Trambley. "We have Krelo back who started last year, three games at quarterback. On defense we are just going to get after it. We are not going to just try and sit and catch anybody but we are going to be the attackers on defense."

Vienna-Goreville opens the season on the road at Johnston City Friday.
