Goreville's Odom Opts for Murray State

GOREVILLE -- Goreville senior Taylor Odom signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball at Murray State University Thursday.

The three-year starter has a career batting average of .460 to go along with numerous school and state records.

Last season she broke Illinois' single season record for home runs with 24.

After making visits to Bradley, Lakeland College and Heartland College, Odom chose the Lady Racers. She joins her former teammate Shelby Miller at Murray. Pinckneyville's Mo Ramsey and Murphysboro's Leslie Bridges also play for the Lady Racers.
