Goreville Sees Season End in Quarterfinals Again

SALEM -- The Goreville Blackcats knew the task was tall to try to reach the state semifinals.  Standing in their way at the Salem 1A Supersectional was second ranked Central A&M.

A&M jumped out to a 13-2 lead and never looked back, leading 33-18 at the half.  

Goreville got as close as 11 in the second half, but could never get the deficit to single digits.  A&M went on to clinch a trip to the 1A final four with a 67-41 win.

The Blackcats' season comes to an end for the fourth straight year in Salem.
