2 Wanted for Thefts at Walmart Stores

By WSIL Manager

WSIL -- Authorities in Illinois and Kentucky are looking for two men who stole thousands of dollars from Walmart stores in both states.

The thefts occurred Saturday at Walmart stores in Anna and Paducah and on Monday at Walmart in Shelbyville, Illinois. Police say the men used a key to open various cash register drawers and took the money inside.

Anna investigators say $2,660 in large bills was taken from the store there, while $1,500 was taken in Shelbyville. Paducah Police have not said how much money was stolen.

The men were only in the stores for a matter of minutes and were last seen leaving in a newer model, dark-colored SUV without a front license plate.

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call the Anna Police Department at (618) 833-8571 or the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550.
