Fundraiser to Save Harrisburg Homeless Shelter
HARRISBURG -- A local radio station is joining the effort to keep a Harrisburg homeless shelter open.
The 4C's homeless shelter plans to close at the end of the month because of lack of donations.
On Tuesday, WEBQ 102.3 will host a Radio-Thon fundraiser. The station has asked local businesses to donate items or money to the cause to help keep the 4C's shelter running.
The Radio-Thon will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Contributions can also be sent to P.O. Box 422, Harrisburg, IL 62946.
It takes $4,000 a month to run the shelter. If their goal isn't reached, the shelter will close Nov. 1.
