Hardin County Wraps Up Heritage Festival
HARDIN CO. -- Folks in Elizabethtown celebrated this weekend with their annual Heritage Festival.
The event is all about the rich history of Hardin County. It kicked off on Friday and wrapped up tonight with fireworks. The festival featured live entertainment and activities from the 1800's.
Saturday also marked the grand reopening of the historic Rose Hotel.
"It was closed down from the end of December to the first of May," said Innkeeper Becky Cook. "But today, along with the festivities in town, is going to be a pretty great day to mark it. My guests tell me it's just like stepping back in time when they come here. It's a peaceful place."
The inn was originally built in 1812.
