PINCKNEYVILLE -- Pinckneyville's football team is looking for balance this season on both sides of the ball. Last year. the Panthers finished with a 5-4 record under first year head coach Todd Thomas.

Pinckneyville is hoping to build off of last season's success as the team returns 10 starters from last year's squad. Thomas is hoping his team can make the playoffs and claim the school's first ever postseason win.
"We came short last year at five and four but that is one of our seniors goals is to have a winning season and possibly go to the playoffs and hopefully have a shot at our first playoff victory in school history," said Thomas.
"That is one of our goals is to make it to the playoffs and hopefully win a game," said Pinckneyville senior Zach Hagene.
Pinckneyville opens the season on the road against Red Bud on August 29th.
