WSIL  --  A few new restaurants around our region could have your taste buds tingling.

New Kahala is finally reopening its doors in Carbondale, but in a new location.  The Chinese restaurant is settling in between Don Taco and Common Grounds in the strip mall off of Grand Avenue.  After nearly a two month hiatus, their foodie fans are glad they're back in business. New Kahala still offers all of the popular favorites along with a new dish, bacon fried rice.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.  Bonnie's Cafe: Twist and Shake is now open for business off of Highway 37 in Jefferson County. They have ice cream, blizzards, sno cones, banana splits, and much more. If that doesn't have your mouth watering they're working on branching into ice cream cakes in the near future.

A new Mongolian restaurant is going up in Marion.  It's still under construction at 809 North Court Street near Taco John's.  They're expected to be up and running in the next three months.

There have been a lot of questions about the new Dunkin' Donuts headed to Carbondale. The city says they've approved the company's site plan, now all that's left is to begin work.  No word on what's causing the delay, but stay with News Three for the latest.
