CARBONDALE -- The Centralia Orphans dominated a matchup of 3-0 teams Friday night, clubbing Carbondale 48-26 in the South 7 opener for both teams.

The Orphans led 16-3 at the half on a pair of Dyman Sodsaikitch touchdown passes. The lead could've been bigger, but Centralia had a touchdown called back by penalty, and dropped another would be score to end the half.

It didn't matter.

Sodsaikitch threw his third touchdown of the game on the opening drive of the third as the Orphans extended their lead to 24-3.

Carbondale cut the lead to 24-10 on Bryce Reno-Gibson's short scoring run, but Centralia answered with Rashad Campbell's TD run and two point conversion to push the lead to 32-10 on the way to a 48-26 win.

Centralia improves to 4-0 and will host Althoff next week. The Terriers fall to 3-1 and will hit the road to take on Cahokia Friday night.
