MARION -- In a back and forth first-half, Marion grabbed a four-point halftime advantage 35-31.

The Wildcats built a nine-point lead in the third, but Carbondale rallied. The Terriers cut it to one with 59 seconds to go and got the go-ahead points at the free throw line late by Devontavius Payne.

Allen Billinger led all scorers with a game-high 22 points for Carbondale.
