CARBONDALE -- One day after leaving the team for personal reasons, SIU sophomore forward Antonio Bryer decided to return to the Salukis Tuesday.

SIU (4-1) was down to two available big men without Bryer and facing possible sanctions from the NCAA regarding the team's Academic Progress Rate.

But Bryer decided to come back.

Salukis head coach Barry Hinson said he talked with Bryer and his mother late Monday night. In that conversation, Antonio agreed he made a mistake and would like to return to the team. After talking with his staff early Tuesday morning, Hinson elected to let Bryer return.

Hinson said the 6-foot-6 forward is eligible to play Wednesday night at Western Kentucky.
