McLeansboro Man Charged with Aggravated Battery

MCLEANSBORO -- A Hamilton County man is facing charges after authorities say he beat another man with a baseball bat.

Terry Morgan, 36, of McLeansboro, is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Hamilton County State's Attorney Justin Hood says Morgan hit a man in the head and body with an aluminum baseball bat. It happened Tuesday afternoon in an alley near West Carpenter Street in McLeansboro.

The victim was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment.

Morgan is being held in the White County Jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 4.
