Chamness Up for National Scholarship

BENTON -- Benton baseball player Dillan Chamness is one of four national finalists for the New Balance Game Changer scholarship.

Chamness was picked to be a finalist after he wrote an essay telling about how he has changed the game of baseball on and off the field in his community.

The winner will receive a ten-thousand dollar scholarship plus $2500 worth of New Balance products to be donated to the charity of his choice.

There is an internet vote to decide the winner.  As of Thursday, Chamness was in third place, but closing quickly on the top two.
