BENTON -- It was a back and forth battle all night long in Benton, as the Rangers and Murphysboro Red Devils took turns finding the endzone.

Murphysboro (1-4, 0-2) turned a 12-6 halftime deficit into a 30-25 lead with a little more than six minutes to play in the game. Benton (5-0, 2-0) needed less than three minutes to answer, scoring the eventual game winner with 3:29 to play.

The Rangers welcome West Frankfort next Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils return home next week to host Massac County.
