WSIL --  The Benton duo of Dailus Richardson and Trevor McKinney owned the lead after two rounds of the Inaugural Bassmaster High School Championship, but after Thursday's second round, the tourney cut the field from 58 to 30--with all weight accumulated erased.

Friday, those 30 battled for the ten spots in the final.

Richardson and McKinney caught three fish for a total of 5-3 pounds.  That was good enough for eighth, meaning the duo has earned a spot in Saturday's final round

By making the final 10, Richardson and McKinney have already clinched at least a $500 scholarship.
